GALASSIA 5 Team

National University of Singapore, College of Design and Engineering (NUS CDE)

Biography

The Galassia team comprises of highly motivated Innovation and Design Program (iDP) undergraduate students from the NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE). Building upon the technologies developed on the first two successful Galassia missions, the Galassia-5 team aims to continue to develop and test new technologies for use in space.

The iDP is an undergraduate programme in NUS that is open to students from all disciplines – it is offered as a Second Major or Minor in Innovation & Design to be taken alongside a primary major. The iDP provides students an opportunity to work on hands-on projects in a multi-disciplinary team to solve real-world problems in partnership with collaborators across industry. The Galassia-5 project is part of a larger “iDP Space Systems Studio” which brings together like minded students with an interest in outer space systems. Apart from teaching undergraduate courses, the studio also aims to get students connected with working professionals to help them get a head start for a career in the local space industry.
