Biography

Jingxian Wang is a NUS Presidential Young Professor in the Computer Science Department at the National University of Singapore. His research focuses on building AI-powered satellite networks and next-generation wireless systems. Before joining NUS, he was a research scientist at Microsoft Research in Redmond, WA, where he led the Smart Surface for 6G and Space initiative. He earned his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. His work has received research highlights three times in ACM SIGMOBILE and Communications of ACM, the best paper and demo at UbiComp, the best paper at IPSN, and has been selected for Microsoft's Accelerate Foundation Models Research Program. He is a recipient of the ACM SIGMOBILE Doctoral Dissertation Award, the Microsoft Research Fellowship in North America, and the inaugural Emerging Rockstar in IEEE Pervasive Computing.
