Biography

Jingxian Wang is an NUS Presidential Young Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. His research builds next-generation wireless systems and satellite networks. Before joining NUS, he was a researcher at Microsoft Research in Redmond, where he led the Smart Surface (metasurface) for 6G and Space initiative. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University. His work has been highlighted three times in Communications of the ACM and ACM SIGMOBILE, has won Best Paper and Best Demo at UbiComp and Best Paper at IPSN, and was selected for Microsoft’s Accelerating Foundation Models program. He is a recipient of the ACM SIGMOBILE Doctoral Dissertation Award, the Microsoft Research Fellowship (North America), and the inaugural “Emerging Rockstar” recognition in IEEE Pervasive Computing.
