Biography

Dr Roland Tay is an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (EEE, NTU). He received both his BEng and PhD from EEE NTU, and was a recipient of the 2020 START Award. His research focuses on the synthesis of emerging functional nanomaterials and employing them for various applications such as advanced energy storage devices, sensors, thermal management for efficient heat extraction and insulation, and protective coating against harsh and extreme environments.
